The lips of a woman, even when silent, can deliver all there is to say, in every situation. Fascinated by it, I tried to frame it with two elements. First, the flat simplicity of the human figures against a flamboyant background. The last of three paintings took a different direction. Only a woman appears, and she’s about to eat a lollipop which is supposed to bring even more attention to her lips which now have turned blue. A few cues disseminate these paintings in order to generate some sort of shared story.
